Sterling silver and crystal claret jug from the early Victorian era. A splendid piece with master craftsmanship that created this historic jug. Lion and masks adorn the sterling silver top. The lion doubles up as the thumb hold opener of the lid. The crystal body is hob nail cut with sunburst to the base. Fully hallmarked to inside lid and around the outer rim at top for London assay by John Wilmin-Figg c1859. Measures 155mm at widest across spout and handle, 130mm deep and 260mm at tallest.
