This is a modern take on an old classic with a simple yet elegant cameo set within a white gold frame which is then mounted onto a yellow gold body. Nice embossed outer frame to front and back of cameo with an empty cartouche at back for personalisation. Hallmarked to the clasp and locket bail. The 9 karat gold setting is typical of Art Nouveau design which along with the opals and seed pearls evokes an image of flowers and foliage. The base frame and bail are in rose gold with yellow gold sections housing the seed pearls. Hallmarked 9ct to back of pendant and 375 to chain clasp. c1900. Boulder opal and diamond pendant with gold chain. Very striking piece of boulder opal neatly crafted into a semi circle, polished and attached to a diamond encrusted 9 karat gold bail. Both the cross and chain are in rose gold with a hallmark of 9 karat to the yellow gold clasp only. The cross measures 48mm long from top of bail and 26mm wide.
